Understanding ACOs: Do you need a consultant?

Accountable care organization consultants for physicians are increasingly available, but doctors who can spend 5% to 10% of their time investigating the new practice model may not need the help, says Justin Barnes, a vice president at health IT company Greenway. Health care attorney Jenny Wang says physicians who use a consultant should select one who has a lot of health care knowledge but does not claim to know everything about ACOs.
