Does standing at your desk increase fitness?

Tracking her activity during the day using a Fitbit Ultra tracker, Susy Jackson says she learned that sitting or standing at her desk while working didn't change the fact she took about 2,500 steps a day while on the job. "I now mix standing and sitting without agonizing over which I should be pushing myself to do," she writes.
