FDA approves breast cancer device from Dune Medical

The FDA has granted Dune Medical Devices premarket approval for its MarginProbe System, which is targeted for immediate U.S. distribution. The device, which has been marketed since 2008 in Europe, is used to aid in the detection of additional tumor cells in women undergoing breast cancer procedures and is intended to decrease the need for further surgeries.
