Delta will offset EU's emissions fee with $3 surcharge for fliers

To help offset the costs of the European Union's emissions-trading scheme, Delta Air Lines plans to levy a $3 surcharge on each traveler flying between the U.S. and Europe. The EU fee went into effect Sunday. Delta is one of several major carriers to announce that the added cost of doing business will be passed along to customers.
