Global food issues will require scientific cooperation

Safe and nutritious food and greater use of biomass-based chemicals will be needed as the world addresses global food, nutrition and fuel challenges, write members of AGRI-Net. "The interaction of chemistry and biology is therefore central to all agri-business, and chemical biology has a key role to play as it sits at the intersection of a range of new sciences such as systems and synthetic biology, next-generation sequencing and genomics," they write.
