USDA recommends approval of Dow's herbicide-tolerant corn

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture issued a draft environmental analysis proposing the deregulation of Dow AgroSciences' 2,4-D herbicide-resistant biotech corn. The corn incorporates a gene from the soil bacteria Sphingobium herbicidovorans.
