Ga. county manager and assistant manager will retire

Chatham County, Ga., Manager Russ Abolt and Assistant County Manager Pat Monahan, whose time in the positions make up about 25 years, have announced retirement. Abolt won't step down until March 2014, but Monahan is retiring this week. Meanwhile, the County Commission is welcoming four new members, including the chairman.
