Sony is in negotiations with two or more companies about licensing content that could be used for a multichannel television service that would be introduced in the U.S. this year, Variety reports, citing sources. The effort is similar to what Intel is attempting with its TV service, the trade paper noted. A Sony spokesman declined to comment on the report.
