Venture investments may foreshadow future technologies

Venture capitalists are resuming investments in tech firms as the economy picks up. Based on investment patterns, mobile will continue to grow, and business computing will become simpler and more efficient, relying on virtualization and new security products. Analysts also see a growing number of tech products that don't rely on traditional keyboard interfaces. "With gesture-based, multitouch, spatially controlled, voice-activated and wearable computing, there is an unbelievable amount of innovation going on here," said Foundry Group Managing Director Brad Feld.
