HTML5 has "critical flaws," says security researcher

The HTML5 standard has a number of "critical flaws" in areas including Web applications, iframes, Web sockets and geolocation, according to a Swiss security researcher. The flaws aren't enough to render HTML5 "completely insecure," the researcher said, but in some situations could allow security measures to be bypassed or leave sites vulnerable to denial-of-service attacks.
