Perils faced by outdoor cats

When deciding whether to keep a pet cat indoors or outdoors, owners should know that outdoor cats face greater threats, such as predators, poisonings and cars, according to veterinarian Randy Aronson. Indoor cats live twice as long as outdoor cats whose life expectancy is only five years, Dr. Aronson says.
