Rule for 401(k) fee disclosures may be delayed, sources say

The Labor Department may postpone the April 1 deadline for providers of 401(k) plans to comply with fee-disclosure rules, sources said, although one added that they expect implementation this year. Financial industry officials welcomed the potential delay. A key concern of plan providers is whether the final rule will require them to issue summaries of plan fees in addition to individual disclosures.
