Minnesota partnership develops feed source to aid dairy farms

A herd owner, the Western Lake Superior Sanitary District, United Taconite and the University of Minnesota Extension Service of St. Louis County, in Minnesota, have partnered to provide expanding dairy farms with new, locally produced biosolids. The partnership recycles the biosolids to generate useful products such as up to 1,500 tons of alfalfa per year.
