Recent battles over retransmission fees may result in a more rational pricing strategy for cable networks, said Discovery Communications Chief Financial Officer Brad Singer. At an investor conference, Singer said his company had included 3% to 5% annual escalators in its carriage agreements that allow rates to be adjusted.
