Union works with auto companies to produce success

United Auto Workers leaders say the only way to save their jobs in a global economy is to work with management to be more productive and efficient. Gone are the days of months-long strikes and antagonistic relationships with management, they say. "There's still problems, but we sit down and work those out," said one local union president.
