Pet cemeteries gaining ground as a final resting place

Pet cemeteries such as Rienzi Cemetery and Ledgeview Memorial Park, both in Fond du Lac, Wis., are gaining popularity, and New York recently approved a law allowing human cremains and pets to be buried in the same cemetery. According to APPA, more than 93 million cats and 77.5 million dogs are pets, and dog owners such as Susie Reschke, who buried her sheltie at Rienzi and owns plots for her two other dogs, said, "I'm so glad they have a beautiful resting place."
