Rule would require testing of body parts for transplantation

The U.S. Health Resources Services Administration, which regulates organ donation and transplantation, has proposed setting standards for face, hand and other body-part transplants. The proposed rule, which is open for public comment until Feb. 14, would require tissue matching and testing under the system run by the United Network for Organ Sharing.
