Study links child abuse to migraines, chronic illness

Researchers said a survey of patients at 11 outpatient headache centers found a link between child abuse and migraines and other chronic illnesses. Data showed 61% of patients with migraines who reported childhood emotional abuse or physical neglect had at least one co-morbid pain condition and 58% reported experiences of childhood abuse or neglect.
