AAFP joins letter asking for stop to ICD-10 implementation

The AAFP joined the American Medical Association and 38 other national physician groups in signing a letter to CMS asking that the implementation of the ICD-10-CM code sets for outpatient diagnosis coding be stopped. The letter said physicians already face excessive cost and training burdens and implementing the system could adversely affect their ability to participate in new care delivery and payment reform models.
