Hospitals cry foul over cuts in "fiscal cliff" legislation

The American Hospital Association and the Federation of American Hospitals cried foul after passage of a "fiscal cliff" bill that cut into hospitals' funding so physicians would not get a scheduled Medicare pay cut. The newly signed law allows the government to recoup what have been deemed overpayments, a point of contention between the hospital industry and CMS.
