Karzai visits U.S. as Obama mulls Afghanistan troop decision

President Barack Obama will host his Afghan counterpart, Hamid Karzai, in Washington this week as the White House considers how fast to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan. Karzai is expected to bring up a number of complaints, including that the U.S. contributes to corruption in Afghanistan by contracting with parties that undermine the Afghan government, a charge that U.S. officials deny.
