Minn. community urges Obama to resolve used-fuel storage woes

The Minnesota-based Prairie Island Indian Community launched an ad campaign urging the Obama administration to stay true to its promise of designating a permanent storage site for the Prairie Island nuclear plant's used fuel, which is currently kept in steel containers. "This is not just for Prairie Island but for all the waste sites around the United States," said Ron Johnson, the tribal council secretary. "We're worried about where those casks are going," he said.
