Oncologists want more collaboration with primary care doctors

The American Society of Clinical Oncology said it would issue guidelines to help primary care physicians become more involved in the long-term care of cancer survivors. The group suggested a shared-care model that would have primary care physicians collaborate with oncologists and provide noncancer care.
