Activists worry as bluefin tuna fetches $1.76M at auction

A bluefin tuna sold for $1.76 million at auction in Tokyo last week, roughly triple the previous record price for a single fish. The sky-high price was a sign of what's at stake as tuna stocks dwindle, environmentalists warned. "There's no good news for the Pacific bluefin," said Amanda Nickson of the Pew Environmental Group. "We're seeing a very high-value fish continue to be overfished."
