Canadian Pacific chosen as rail carrier for oil shipments

Canadian Pacific will be Global Partners' rail service provider for crude-by-rail shipments from the Bakken region. Global partners recently signed a five-year agreement with Phillips 66, which involves the transportation of crude oil to Phillips 66's New Jersey refinery. "Global has established a 'virtual pipeline' for the reliable transportation of Bakken crude," said Tim Taylor, Phillips 66 executive vice president of commercial, marketing, transportation and business development.
