Medication-adherence app improves compliance among patients

The MediSafe Project application is showing healthy results. The app uses cloud-based delivery of alerts to patients and caretakers on how much medicine to take and when. Eight weeks after launch, users report a "medication adherence" rate of 81%, compared with the World Health Organization's estimated average of 50%. "MediSafe Project's involvement of patients' loved ones and caretakers is proving itself a breakthrough in reducing the harm that comes from medication non-adherence," says Omri "Bob" Shor, MediSafe Project's chief executive.
