Scientists get first film of mysterious giant squid

Scientists were able to capture the first video footage of a live giant squid by luring it into view with a smaller squid and a bioluminescent lure. The Discovery Channel will air a special about the giant squid on Jan. 27, using the new footage. "All of us were so amazed at what it looked like. It looked carved out of metal. And it would change from being silver to gold. It was just breathtaking," said Edie Widder, a marine biologist involved with the video-making effort.
