U.S. drought may drag on to planting season, experts say

The historic drought that lifted U.S. corn and soybean prices last year may continue through at least spring, jeopardizing production that is crucial to boosting global stocks, weather forecasters said. "Unless there's a sudden change to very wet conditions, it sure looks like drought is going to be a feature going into the planting season, spring at least," said Bryce Anderson, an agricultural meteorologist at DTN.
