New Dolby product to lower volume on TV ads

Audio pioneer Dolby Laboratories Inc. today will unveil a new technology aimed at correcting differences in volume between TV shows and commercials, at the International CES. Dolby Volume uses technology based on how the human ear transmits sound waves and reportedly can reduce loudness without sacrificing desirable background noise.
