DOT provides nearly $1.6B to fix disaster-damaged roads, bridges

Nearly $1.6 billion is being made available to repair road and bridge damage caused by natural disasters in 30 states and three territories, according to Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood. "The Obama administration stands ready to provide emergency relief and reimburse these communities for the work that has been done to restore their critical transportation needs," LaHood said.
