Fla. legislator files bill to widen NPs' practice

State Rep. Daphne Campbell, D-Miami, filed a bill that would give Florida nurse practitioners the power to carry out involuntary psychiatric examinations under the Baker Act. Campbell, a registered nurse, has sponsored a series of bills to expand the scope of practice for nurse practitioners in the state.
