Antarctica team confirms huge penguin colony with visit

Three researchers based at the Princess Elisabeth Antarctica polar research center confirmed the existence of a colony of approximately 9,000 emperor penguins in East Antarctica. Scientists initially discovered traces of the colony on satellite images in 2009, but this is the first time the penguins have been seen by humans.
