Commentary: Basel delay spares economy, credit

The Basel committee's decision to put off higher capital requirements for banks until 2019 is the right decision while the economy is still trying to recover, writes Andrew Ross Sorkin. Sticking with the original timeline would have reduced access to credit. "The chances of a leverage-induced crisis from Wall Street banks right now is quite low," he writes.
