Study looks at predictors of quality pediatric care in hospitals

Disease severity and the presence of chronic conditions were the strongest predictors for pediatric quality indicator events in both safety-net and non-safety-net hospitals, U.S. researchers reported in the journal Pediatrics. They found that the level of Medicaid burden did not affect quality outcomes in hospitals.
