Voluntary products can meet the unique needs of women

Census data from 2010 show women are increasingly divorced or have never married, and they may be balancing the needs of children and their parents. These life situations create special challenges agents and brokers can help address, writes Ron Fields of Aflac. A separate 2010 survey showed that 70% of single women postpone retirement because they think they're not financially ready, and they often face other financial challenges including family responsibilities that could make them a good fit for certain voluntary products, Fields writes.
