Concrete work advances $700M Mississippi River bridge in St. Louis

Work on the new Mississippi River bridge in St. Louis progressed when 10 truckloads of concrete were added at the bridge's towers. The bridge itself has a $229 million budget, but the entire project costs an estimated $700 million, which covers work to relocate interchanges on both the Illinois and Missouri sides of the river. The new bridge will be America's third-longest cable-stayed bridge when completed.
