A growing number of hotels trying to set themselves apart from each other -- and from traditional spas -- are creating private, full-service spa suites. Hotels such as ARIA Resort & Casino Las Vegas, Mandarin Oriental’s Elbow Beach, Bermuda and Trump SoHo New York have recently added such suites. The suites include features such as private lockers, massage tables, two-person bathtubs, flat-screen TVs and private lounges. "Having a full service spa is an expected and essential part of any luxury resort today," says Frank Stocek, Elbow Beach general manager. "The Spa suites were created to be unique and to set our spa apart from other more traditional spas."
