Bright Ideas

01/10/2013

Many students and teachers enjoyed the fun problem that appeared in the holiday issue of Bright Ideas -- but don't take our word for it. "I gave the brainteaser to my students, and it was a success!" said Bonnie Jo Mayer of Ramsey, Ill. "The students were communicating about mathematics and having a great time. The problem was hard, but the difficulty is what encouraged them to seek help from others. This activity did a masterful job of utilizing several of the Common Core mathematical practices. Thank you for sharing this activity!" Haven't seen the problem? Didn't get the newsletter? Subscribe to Bright Ideas today!
