Nielsen report details young adults' multiplatform habits

Young adults ages 18 to 24 log nearly 90 minutes a week screening video online, and almost 50% of the demographic reaches for their smartphones a minimum of one time a day during TV viewing, according to Nielsen's Cross Platform Report. Just under 1 in 10 have a DVR in their "extended home" at college, compared with 66% at their main home with their parents, but they report nearly the same levels of access to cable TV: 96% have cable in their extended homes and 98% have it at their family homes.
