Facebook's EdgeRank algorithm, which determines how content is displayed in a given member's news feed, is the subject of much misunderstanding, ShortStack CEO Jim Belosic writes. Changes to EdgeRank aren't sinister ploys for advertising dollars so much as tools that help users find the content that matters most to them, a feature that should excite brands that forge meaningful connections with fans. "It's the brand's responsibility to improve the quality of their content so that it's valuable, entertaining and ultimately, competitive," Belosic writes.
