ESEA draft draws criticism from policymakers, advocates

A draft bill by Rep. John Kline, R-Minn., to reauthorize the Elementary and Secondary Education Act is drawing criticism from some policymakers and education advocates. Education Secretary Arne Duncan and several congressional Democrats object to many aspects of the bill, while special-education advocates say it lacks accountability regarding the education of children with special needs.
