High-tech lunch-line payment system saves time, money

School nutrition professionals in a Massachusetts district say they are pleased with the newly installed NutriKids system, which allows students to pay for school meals with a pin number and card. Staff said the new system saved time they once spent handling charge slips and cashing out registers. Officials also said school-meal revenue has increased $30,000 this year since the system was installed.
