"Lunch Roulette" helps companies encourage networking

To foster more interdepartmental networking, companies like pharmaceuticals manufacturer Boehringer Ingelheim use "Lunch Roulette," an online system that helps set up lunch dates between various employees. "A lot of times, a CEO only talks with someone who has been prescribed for them. With Lunch Roulette, he doesn't know who he'll be paired with and neither does the other person," says David Thompson, who came up with the idea.
