Voice control for car stereos promises to become a standard feature this year, with Alpine, Audiovox and Kenwood all demonstrating car radios that work with Apple's Siri personal assistant at the 2013 International CES, this article notes. JVC, Sony and other vendors are also incorporating text-to-speech and speech-to-text features into car audio equipment, with some JVC radio models now able to handle gestures relayed through a smartphone controller.
