Will marketers warm to Facebook's paid-messaging service?

Facebook's messaging function hasn't gotten much love from social media marketers -- but that could change now that the social network is charging users $1 per message to write to people outside their immediate network. "Now that marketers can pay to appear on a user's newsfeed, the ability to send relevant and targeted private messages to likers of their brand -- rather than simply respond to user posts or messages -- may soon be on the horizon," eMarketer reports.
