Businesses in British Columbia have started using pedal-powered cargo bikes instead of conventional delivery and courier vehicles. The bikes, which can carry almost 600 pounds of cargo at speeds of up to 25 mph, are popular with companies seeking to reduce their carbon footprint. "Our prices are in line with motorized couriers. Our times are in line. We're absolutely zero emission," says cargo-bike entrepreneur Andrew Mitchell.
