Deere begins work on second tractor factory in India

Deere & Co. has broken ground on its second tractor factory in India. The company is investing $80 million for the facility, which is expected to accommodate about 1,000 employees. "John Deere products have been well accepted by customers in India and our investment in this new factory is a direct result of that success," Deere Chairman and CEO Samuel Allen said in a statement.
