Cisco sees power fix with new 802.11n access point

Cisco Systems predicts that its introduction Tuesday of an Aironet 1140 Series Access Point will "trigger widespread Wi-Fi deployments" by resolving power issues related to earlier versions of the protocol's wireless LAN technology. Companies that had already installed 802.11n LAN devices had to string additional power cables to the APs to support all the radios inside of them.
