Small business takes a hit

A new report on business startups around the world shows the U.S. had a 24% decline year-to-year in 2009 compared with declines of 6% in the U.K. and 9% in Germany. NFIB's membership survey showed optimism dropped in December when 22% of the respondents said they had cut jobs while only 10% added them.
