Henrik Fisker, who created a new carmaker in 2007, has built the company into a $1 billion business. People still react with surprise when they realize the company is truly new and doesn't have the backing of an established brand like BMW, Fisker said. While chaos is typical in a startup environment, it's important to bring some order to a company as it grows, he said.
